A woman who said she didn’t know she was pregnant gave birth in the cab of a truck on Interstate 40 in Tennessee.
On Tuesday morning, officers were called to Interstate 40, at exit 435 westbound to assist a woman who gave birth in the cab of a truck.
According to officers, Nashayla Jones, 20, didn’t know that she was pregnant prior to giving brith. Jones told first responders that she just thought she had a stomachache. Her boyfriend, the truck’s driver, Trevon Deaver, 26, confirmed that neither party knew Jones was pregnant.
The baby was born 20 weeks prematurely and was taken to the Newport Medical Center.
There is no word on the condition of Jones or the baby.
