A truck driver is lucky to be alive after a motorist struck him head-on, sending his vehicle plunging off an overpass early on Friday morning.
The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, September 18, in the downtown area of Houston Texas.
Police say that a 56 year old woman was driving her car the wrong way on I-45 and hit a semi truck head-on, causing the truck to crash off of the interstate overpass onto the parking lot of an aquarium below.
The 30 foot fall caused major damage to the semi truck, but the 65 year old truck driver survived with non life-threatening injuries.
The motorist was taken to the hospital with a broken leg.
Police believe that the woman was intoxicated at the time of the crash and she may face charges.
