3-on-1 truck stop assault sends driver to emergency room

A truck driver was injured at a truck stop on Sunday morning after being assaulted in the parking lot. 

The incident happened on May 2nd at around 4:15 a.m. in Columbia, Missouri. 

According to Columbia Daily Tribune, the unidentified trucker was sitting in his rig at a parking lot in the 3400 block of Grindstone Parkway when three black males approached his rig. The three men reportedly knocked on the driver’s window and the driver exited his cab. After leaving his truck, the driver says he was assaulted by the three men, who fled the scene before police could arrive. 

The trucker was treated for injuries at the scene, as well as at a nearby emergency room. The extent of their injuries have not been reported.
