A truck driver has dubbed himself “The Lucky Trucker” after winning $50,000 in the Maryland Lottery earlier this month.
The Charles, County, Maryland trucker, who identified himself only as “The Lucky Trucker” who drives for a ‘local shipping company,’ says he has been playing the Maryland Lottery for more than 30 years, but this is the first time he has won anything.
“This is my first win,” said the loyal player. “This is the first time I have won anything!”
The driver says he is still in such shock over his November 9th win that he has not yet told his wife about their good fortune, reported The Southern Maryland Chronicle.
“I will pay some bills, surprise my wife with some special Christmas gifts, and use the rest of the money to finance a special family trip to St. Augustine, Florida,” which is an annual tradition for his family.
