$6.5M worth of drugs discovered inside semi truck

A huge amount of a wide variety of drugs was discovered inside of a tractor trailer at the Texas, Mexico border this week. 

The drugs were found on Monday, June 14th at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge. 

According to Local 23 News, the drugs were discovered inside of a shipment of floor tile through non-intrusive imaging. 

Officers seized 203 203 pounds of methamphetamine, over 40 pounds of heroin weighing, almost 80 pounds of cocaine, and over 5,100 assorted pills of fentanyl, oxycodone, and methamphetamine. The assorted narcotics have an approximate street value of $6,582,600. 

“This seizure was accomplished due to great all around teamwork, beginning with analytical research, use of technology and the endless commitment to the border security mission of keeping dangerous drugs from continuing their trek into our communities,” said Port Director Carlos Rodriguez in a press release
