A cold front is expected to bring gusts up to 60 mph in Ohio starting tonight, prompting a high wind warning and watch.
The high wind watch is expected to go into effect at 11 p.m. on Thursday, March 25th for Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina and Ashland counties in Ohio. A similar watch will go into effect at 2 a.m. on Friday for Ashtabula, Geauga, Holmes, Lake, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull and Wayne counties in Ohio.
High winds are expected to reach 25-35 mph, with gusts as strong as 60 mph, making travel difficult, particularly for tractor trailers. Widespread power outages are also expected, reported Cleveland News.
A high wind warning will remain in effect until noon on Friday, but the high wind watch will stay in place until 2 p.m. the same day.
