Active investigation, heavy police presence reported at two Wisconsin gas stations

Published:

Multiple news outlets are reporting a large police presence at two gas stations in Racine County, Wisconsin, on Tuesday morning.

The Caledonia Police Department has confirmed that an active investigation is ongoing as of Tuesday morning at a Franksville Mobil and Pilot Travel Stop located in Caledonia, about 20 miles south of Milwaukee.

Local news outlet WISN 12 reports that the police presence is for a shooting and that an on-site crew member viewed a body near the gas pumps. The outlet also says that multiple arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Police say that travel near the gas stations will be restricted for an unknown period of time.

There is no current threat to the community, police say.

This is a developing story.
