At least one dead in three CMV, three car crash on foggy Minnesota highway

The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) has confirmed that at least one person was killed in a multiple vehicle crash near Pine Island on Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred on Highway 52 north of Rochester near Pine Island.

MSP says that three commercial vehicles and three passengers cars were involved in a crash that resulted in at least one fatality.

Northbound Highway 52 will remain closed for several hours, according to state police.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but heavy fog was reported in the area when the collision occurred.

The crash comes on a day when high winds and winter weather are wreaking havoc on travel in multiple states.
