The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) has confirmed that at least one person was killed in a multiple vehicle crash near Pine Island on Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred on Highway 52 north of Rochester near Pine Island.
State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on USTH 52 & MP 69, near Pine Island. Crash involves 3 commercial vehicles and 3 passenger cars. USTH 52 N/B will be closed for several hours. When information is available it will be on the media page.

MSP says that three commercial vehicles and three passengers cars were involved in a crash that resulted in at least one fatality.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but heavy fog was reported in the area when the collision occurred.

The crash comes on a day when high winds and winter weather are wreaking havoc on travel in multiple states.
