EAGAN, MINNESOTA – Bay & Bay Transportation is setting a new standard for independent contractor compensation. Company announces pay increase of $0.20 per mile for their independent contractors.
Effective immediately, independent contractors with Bay and Bay Transportation will receive a base pay of $1.25 up to $1.70 on loaded miles and $1.10 on empty miles. Contractors will continue to receive industry top fuel surcharge rates on loaded miles in addition to their pay, as well as fuel discounts at preferred providers. This high level of pay reflects Bay and Bay’s appreciation for the drivers supporting the country’s supply chain.
For over five years, Bay and Bay has been aggressively raising its total pay to its drivers and independent contractors. Company CEO, Sam Anderson shared, “Bay and Bay is committed to providing its drivers with exceptional career opportunities. We have top pay, modern equipment, and great customer freight. We currently have a variety of OTR, regional and dedicated routes available. We know that this diversity makes us a solid choice when a driver is looking to find a home.”
