Beer-hauling trucker ends up in woods after swerving to avoid disabled pickup

A truck driver was hurt after swerving to avoid a disabled vehicle in South Carolina on Tuesday. 

The accident happened on May 25th near North Myrtle Beach. 

According to News 13, a white pickup was traveling along Highway 31 when they experienced a flat tire. The pickup was attempting to pull onto the shoulder when an oncoming semi truck noticed what was happening and swerved to avoid a collision. 

The evasive maneuver sent the Bud Light truck veering into the nearby trees after clipping the disabled pickup. The trucker was seriously injured in the crash, but the pickup driver sustained only minor injuries. 

A guardrail was damaged in the wreck. There is no current timeline for repairs.
