CHP pulled in a truck ‘that seemed a bit heavy’ for a weigh

Published:

Troopers at the California Highway Patrol’s Gilroy Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility had a little bit of fun when they spotted a truck driver hauling a tiny but mighty load.

In a Wednesday Facebook post, CHP said:

So as we monitored traffic looking for overweight violations, we came across a truck tractor combination that seemed a bit heavy. We had the vehicle come in for a commercial vehicle inspection, and determined the vehicle to be within the appropriate weight. Thank you, Badger Trucking for the Tonka truck on the flat bed, and also for securing the load.

Social media users were thankful for the chuckle.

“It’s nice to see that you guys are human just like us and enjoy having a little fun at work. Thank you for what you do!” said one commenter.

“I can definitely see how it could have been overweight. Thanks for taking the extra steps to ensure everyone’s safety. This is awesome keep up the great work and stay safe!” another said.

“This is the best thing I’ve seen all day,” on Facebook user said.
