A dash cam video shared by the West Virginia Department of Education is a good reminder that failing to stop for a loading or unloading school bus can have tragic consequences.
In the video, multiple cars fail to stop as a student exits the bus and crosses the street.
The frustrated bus driver blares the horn to try to get the attention of the car drivers, which appears to distract the student as he crosses the road, resulting in a frightening close call.
