Driver accused of running over 5 cyclists with “extremely high level” of meth in system makes brief appearance in court

A truck driver accused of driving through a group of bicyclists, killing five, made an appearance in court on Thursday morning. 

45-year-old box truck driver Jordan Barson is currently being held without bail for the accident that occurred on December 10th, 2020 near Searchlight, Nevada. 

Barson is facing five counts of DUI resulting in death, two counts of DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm and seven counts of reckless driving.

On Thursday, February 4th Barson stood briefly before the judge, who promptly set another court date a month in the future, reported 8 News Now.

It is not clear when he will next appear before a judge.
