Driver trapped in cab after rolling down hill

Published:

A truck driver was trapped in the cab of his truck after rolling down an embankment in Pennsylvania early on Tuesday.

The accident happened on January 12th at around 9:20 a.m. in Donegal Township.

According to Trib Live, the truck driver was traveling on Route 31 near the Route 381 intersection when it crashed through a guardrail and rolled down an embankment, trapping the driver inside the crushed cab.

Luckily, first responders were able to extricate the driver quickly. The unnamed trucker suffered only minor injuries.

Residents nearby say the accident was “really loud.”

“I didn’t know what happened, but it was really loud. I came out and saw the truck over the hill and called 911 right away,” said Charles Schade, who lives near the site of the accident.

“It shook everything,” added Nancy Simpson, who was with Schade at the time.
