Driver upset about condition of his truck arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot boss

Published:

Florida police arrested a truck driver after an argument with his boss reportedly led to threats of violence.

Truck driver Jean Roman Miranda, 25, was arrested in Seminole County, Florida, on Thursday and faces charges of making a false report regarding the use of firearms in a violent manner.

According to the Ocala Police Department, Miranda worked as a truck driver for GAP Transportation, a FedEx subcontractor, for two months.

On Tuesday, Miranda told a manager that he would be quitting and leaving his truck at a Wendy’s because he was unhappy about its condition.

The manager and another GAP Transportation driver met with Miranda and during the argument that followed, Miranda reportedly threatened to shoot his boss.

Later on Tuesday, Miranda allegedly called the manager and threatened to target GAP Transportation trucks by causing crashes and then shooting at the vehicles.

MyCBS4 also reports that Miranda threatened his manager via text message: “What would look better, me putting my 9mm in your face, or me destroying your car?”

After Miranda was arrested by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, he told police that he doesn’t own a gun and didn’t plan to act on any of the threats.
