Failure to yield to tractor trailer leads to death of motorist, young son

Two people were killed in a crash between a semi truck and a car in Indiana early on Sunday morning. 

The incident happened on June 13th at around 2:08 a.m. in Kosciusko County. 

According to ABC Indianapolis, Marlin Fuentes Sr. was driving south on County Road 875 West with his 10-year-old son in the car when he failed to yield to an oncoming semi truck at the US 30 intersection. As a result, the westbound semi truck struck the driver’s side door of the car, causing a serious collision. 

Both Fuentes and his young son were killed in the crash. The truck driver was uninjured. 

The identity of the truck driver involved has not been released.
