A portion of the Florida Turnpike was completely shut down on Monday morning after a double-semi crash sparked a serous fire.
The accident happened on July 12th at around 5:50 a.m. in Osceola County, Florida.
According to Fox 13 News, the crash happened in the southbound lanes of mile marker 237, set one truck on fire, and sent at least one of the drivers to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries. The condition of the other driver involved is not known.Â

Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames for several hours, while the Environmental Protection Agency responded to a 250 gallon fuel spill as a result of the wreck.Â
The Florida Turnpike was closed in both directions from Exit 240 for Kissimmee Park Road near St. Cloud up to Exit 193 for FL-60. The roadway has since been reopened.
