Florida police arrested and charged a man who was caught on video threatening a commercial vehicle driver with a firearm.

Seventy-two year old Kenneth Wrench has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) in Florida.

The charges were issued in response to an incident that occurred on Tuesday, September 7, in Estero.

Police were dispatched to Carter Road after a report of a man brandishing a weapon at a driver behind the wheel of a Premier Portables service truck.

When deputies spoke with the truck’s driver, he confirmed that a man had pointed a gun at him and his truck.

Police went to the residence of a suspect later identified as Wrench to begin the investigation.

“Detectives obtained dash cam footage from the victim that showed Wrench pointing the firearm at the driver and the truck. Detectives also learned that Wrench threatened to shoot the tires out on the service truck,” the LCSO said.

Wrench was arrested as a result of the investigation and booked into the Lee County Jail.

“I don’t tolerate violent behavior of any kind! It’s completely unacceptable,” stated Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “If you threaten the safety of any resident of Lee County, you will go to jail.”
