Fort Worth police seeking tattooed woman following armed robbery of sleeping truck driver

Published:

Fort Worth police are asking for public help in identifying a female suspect who is believed to be involved in the overnight armed robbery of a truck driver.

The robbery occurred around 1:30 a.m. on June 10 in south Fort Worth, Texas, according to a June 16 news release from the Fort Worth Police Department.

Police say that a truck driver was asleep in a parking lot across the street from a warehouse when a white female knocked on the door of his truck.

The truck driver said that he initially thought that the woman was a security guard who was there to tell him that he could unload his truck at the warehouse across the street.

Instead, the woman asked him for help.

Another female suspect appeared and the women convinced the driver to exit his truck.

It was at this point that an armed male approached the truck driver from behind and demanded his property.

The suspects stole the truck driver’s cellphone and wallet with his credit cards before fleeing in a white older model vehicle.

Fort Worth police are specifically asking the public for help in identifying the first female suspect, who they describe as a “heavy-set” woman between 30 and 40 years of age, about 5’8″ with purple or blue highlights in her hair. She also has large tattoos on her chest and upper right arm.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Worth police at 817-392-4469.
