On Wednesday, Forward Air announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire a privately held Georgia trucking company.
Greenville, Tennessee-based asset-light freight and logistics company Forward Air announced plans to acquire the assets of Atlanta-based J&P Hall Express as part of the company’s ongoing LTL network expansion strategy. The company says that the acquisition increases Forward’s footprint in Atlanta and adds a new location in Albany, expanding the company’s LTL operations in the region.
The acquisition is expected to close in May 2021. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
J&P Hall Express has been in business since 1989 and provides LTL, Full Truckload, LCL, CFS warehousing, and airport transfers across the Southeastern United States
J&P Hall Express generates approximately $15.8 million in annual revenue, according to a news release announcing the acquisition.
J&P Hall Express employs 110 workers and operates 70 power units.

Forward Air operates approximately 200 facilities across the country and employs more than 5,200 people nationwide.
