Four-day aggressive driving blitz under way in Florida

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is currently conducting a high-visibility traffic enforcement effort in multiple counties.

The FHP’s Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (HEAT) blitz is taking place Monday, November 15 through Thursday, November 18.

The special enforcement will be taking place on I-75 in Alachua, Columbia, and Marion counties.

During the four-day detail, officers will be on the lookout for dangerous driving behaviors, including speeding and tailgating.

Drivers are asked to dial *FHP (*347) to report aggressive drivers or to request roadside assistance.
