A fuel tanker truck driver lost his life in Florida on Sunday afternoon in a fiery crash that occurred when his vehicle fell off of a ramp.
The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on August 1 in Davie, Florida.
The 53 year old truck driver was reportedly westbound on I-595 entrance ramp to the Florida Turnpike when he lost control and went over a concrete barrier wall on the ramp, landing in a grassy area below.
The crash involving the fuel tanker has turned into a fatal incident that remains under investigation. The driver was confirmed deceased on scene. The tanker was loaded with approximately 8000 gallons of gasoline at the time of the crash. The tanker caught fire and exploded as the truck was upside down with the driver trapped inside.

The truck driver passed away at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Fort Lauderdale Fire and Rescue shared video captured at the scene of the explosion.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
