Here’s why you don’t pass a plow truck

Published:

A semi truck slammed into a snow plow truck in Missouri this week, reminding all of us exactly why you should never try to pass a snow plow.

The wreck happened on February 17th along Highway 54 near Osage Beach, Missouri.

According to Lake Expo News, the truck driver claims he couldn’t see the plow truck or the tow-plow through the snow that was being moved. The impact crunched the front of the semi truck, but thankfully no one was injured in the confusion.

The plow driver, Christian Watts, took to social media to share the experience and warn other drivers of the dangers of attempting to pass snow plows.

“THIS IS WHY YOU DO NOT PASS A PLOW TRUCK OR DRIVE THROUGH THE SNOW WE’RE PLOWING OFF!!!” Watts wrote.

“Yes I’m ok, luckily no one was hurt . The semi driver said he couldn’t see me and didn’t know I had a tow plow in the driving lane that he was in due to all the blowing snow…please SLOW DOWN with these road conditions. Your destination is not anymore important than a persons life!! All we wanna do is do our job and go back home to our families!”
