Home-hauling semi truck smashes DOT workers, truck

A semi truck hauling a mobile home collided with a Mississippi Department of Transportation truck on Thursday, sending two workers to the hospital. 

The accident happened on April 1st in Clay County, Mississippi at around 2:15 p.m.

According to WCBI News, the semi truck was driving along Highway 45 alternate when the incident occurred. 

The two MDOT workers were patching potholes left by recent winter weather. 

The truck driver was not hurt in the incident, but both men were transported to hospitals, one by ambulance and one by life flight. Both were responsive throughout transportation. 

The accident is still under investigation.
