On Thursday afternoon, officials reopened the westbound lanes of the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Westlake, Louisiana. The eastbound lanes remain closed.

A Wednesday night truck fire has shut down both directions of the I-10 bridge in Westlake, Louisiana.
The fire occurred on the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge after an 18 wheeler hauling building materials was struck by another vehicle. The 18 wheeler caught fire following the crash.
Only minor injuries were reported.
The bridge will remain closed until a thorough and detailed inspection is complete, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
All traffic is being routed onto I-210 until the bridge reopens.
