Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes after a major crash involving commercial vehicles has closed I-10 near Casa Grande, Arizona.
The crash occurred Wednesday on westbound I-10 near mile marker 188, north of Casa Grande.
Multiple cars and trucks were involved in the collision. Social media reports indicate that more than 10 vehicles including three trucks were involved in the pileup, but police have yet to release official numbers.

It isn’t yet clear whether anyone was hurt.
Images captured at the scene show a truck on fire and heavy black smoke billowing from the crash site.
According to the Casa Grande Police Department, the following detours are in place until further notice:
- Westbound I-10 traffic must exit at McCartney Road, go west to Pinal Avenue, then north to re-enter I-10.
- Eastbound I-10 traffic must exit Pinal Ave (State Route 387), go south to McCartney Road, then east to re-enter I-10.
