I-70 in Indiana shut down for ‘multiple accidents’

Indiana State Police (ISP) are warning drivers that portions of I-70 in the central part of the state are closed for winter weather crashes.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, February 15, the ISP’s Putnamville District reported that I-70 eastbound was closed at mile marker 18 due to several crashes.

Just a few minutes later, ISP issued a new alert to drivers that westbound I-70 is also closed at mile marker 45.

It isn’t yet clear how many vehicles were involved in crashes or whether anyone was hurt.

ISP shared photos from the 18 mile marker crash scene featuring several semi trucks.
