An intoxicated Massachusetts tractor-trailer driver was arrested after nearly colliding with another vehicle near Chester, New York.
Police say the driver was operating the vehicle at twice the legal limit for intoxication on the Northway on May 5.
State police responded to the area of Exit 25 at about 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report that a tractor-trailer was driving out of control.
Authorities pulled over the vehicle after witnessing it nearly collide with another vehicle.
The driver, 46-year old Sergey Lisitsin, of Westfield, failed sobriety tests conducted by police.
The trooper responding to the scene could smell alcohol and observed signs of impairment, police said in a press release.
Listinsin was arrested and taken to the state police station, where he provided a breath sample with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.21%, police said.
Listinsin was charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated and taken to Warren County Jail.
