The Iowa State Patrol (ISP) says that a truck driver lost his life this week when his truck was blown over in Benton County.

The fatal incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, near Walford, Iowa.

ISP says that 58 year Iowa-based old truck driver Brian Jensen was southbound on Highway 151 when his vehicle was struck by a high gust of wind.

The truck rolled onto its side and came to a stop in a ditch.

Troopers say that Jensen was ejected and died as a result the crash.

Jensen was not wearing a seatbelt, according to an ISP crash report.

On Wednesday, dozens of trucks were blown over in multiple states by record-high wind gusts.
