At J&R Schugel, we’re focused on you – the driver. We take pride in knowing what our drivers need from their carrier. After all, we’re in the unique position of being a 100% employee-owned company. Your comfort and safety is our priority, which is why we’re so excited to tell you all about our newest trucks!

These new 2022 Kenworth T680 trucks have a sleek and innovative aerodynamic design that saves drivers up to six percent of fuel costs. From the cutting-edge exterior designed to reduce wind drag and turbulence to the driver-optimized technology, these trucks offer the safest and most intuitive experience yet.

Each T680 features a Cummins X15 engine and either an Eaton 12sp Endurant automatic transmission or an Eaton 10sp (manual transmission.  On the outside, the narrower hood and grill design, integrated front air dams, tandem axle fairings and wind-slick wheel covers are just a few of the technologies included with aerodynamics in mind. Inside the truck, you’ll find fuel-saving features that prioritize safety including a fully optimized PACCAR powertrain, predictive cruise control, collision mitigation, and driver shift aids.

You’ll also love the ThermoKing Evolution APU to keep your A/C or heat, lights and small appliances running whenever you need them. The cab is pre-wired for a power inverter to run all your small electrical devices and the roomy 72” sleeper berths with upper bunks give you plenty of room for resting in comfort and tons of storage. Other features of our new T680 trucks include a TV mount, satellite radio capabilities (subscription required for use) and Bluetooth readiness.
