Love’s Travel Stops opened two new locations in Louisiana and Illinois on Thursday.
The Louisiana store is located in Monroe, off of I-20 in Ouachita Parish. The store is more than 13,000 square feet and will offer truckers 90 truck parking spaces.
Other amenities include Chester’s Chicken, Godfather’s Pizza, and Subway restaurants (opening August 23), eight diesel bays, seven showers, a Speedco (opening later), laundry facilities, a CAT Scale, and a dog park.
The new Illinois store is located off of Illinois Route 83 in Elk Grove Village. The 8,000 square foot store will add 17 truck parking spaces to the Love’s network.
Other amenities at the Elk Grove Village location include Chester’s Chicken and Godfather’s Pizza restaurants (opening August 23), five diesel bays, four showers, laundry facilities, and a CAT Scale.
“We’re excited to open our 10th and 29th location in Louisiana and Illinois, respectively,” said Greg Love, co-CEO of Love’s. “We place Love’s in locations that are easy to access and help get customers back on the road quickly and safely. These two locations – one in the South and one in the Midwest – fit the bill.”
In January 2021, Love’s said that the company had plans to open as many as 50 new truck stops across the country this year, which would add approximately 3000 new truck parking spaces to the Love’s network. In 2020, Love’s opened 38 new truck stop locations, adding more than 3000 truck parking spaces to the Love’s network.
