A man was accidentally run over at a business in North Carolina on Friday morning.
The accident happened on November 19th at 8:37 a.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to WBTV News, a truck driver arrived at a business on Atando Avenue to drop off a trailer. The driver then detached the first trailer and drove around to the other side of the building to pick up a second trailer. As the driver was backing up to the second trailer, they unknowingly ran over Jose Danilo Guerra-Mejia, who was removing a security device from beneath the trailer at the time of the accident.
Paramedics were called and Guerra-Mejia was transported to a nearby hospital where he soon succumbed to his injuries.
Police say that the driver did not know that Guerra-Mejia was underneath the trailer, or even in the area.
The incident is still under investigation but there are currently no charges pending against the unnamed truck driver.
