Ohio police say that a man was fatally struck by a semi truck while walking in the lot at a Love’s truck stop on Tuesday.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. at a Love’s Travel Stop location in Hubbard, Ohio.
According to local outlet WFMJ, a truck driver called 911 after realizing that he struck a pedestrian near the fuel island.
The pedestrian, who is believed to have also been a truck driver, died at the scene.
The victim has not been identified, but according to the report, he was a white male in his 60s from Illinois.
Hubbard Township Police say that they believe the fatal pedestrian strike was an accident.
No charges have been filed at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
