Man run over by rig in reverse on highway

A man was killed after being run over by a semi truck on a Minnesota highway on Thursday morning. 

The incident happened on September 23rd near Wheaton, Minnesota. 

According to The Star Tribune, the semi truck was reversing along Highway 27 when it struck a man walking along the highway, killing him. 

The man killed has only been identified as a 24-year-old pedestrian from Waite Park. 

The truck driver, 37-year-old Nicholas Hunter, was not hurt in the incident. 

It is not clear why the truck was in reverse on the highway. The incident is still under investigation.
