A crash involving semi trucks shut down all lanes of a Mississippi interstate on Thursday afternoon.
The crash was reported early Thursday afternoon on eastbound I-22 at mile marker 22 in Marshall County, Mississippi.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) reported a two vehicle crash with injuries. Troopers did not specify how many people were hurt or the nature of their injuries.
In images shared by MHP, you can see what appears to be a large cargo spill.
A social media user shared an alarming image of the crash scene.
Officials say that all lanes of eastbound I-22 are closed. One lane of westbound I-22 is open. Troopers are asking drivers to seek alternate routes.
