Motorist still ‘conscious and alert’ after skidding beneath tractor trailer


A motorist was airlifted to a hospital after skidding almost entirely beneath a semi truck in California on Monday afternoon. 

The accident happened on August 9th in Victorville, California at around 3:26 p.m. 

According to VVNG News, the truck driver involved initially contacted police to report that a vehicle had skidded beneath his trailer at the intersection of the Stoddard Wells Road and the northbound I-15 off-ramp and that the motorist was still trapped inside. 

Police and firefighters responded to the scene and used the jaws of life to extricate the male motorist from the mangled car. The man was reportedly still “conscious and alert” at the time of his rescue. 

The truck driver reported no injuries as a result of the wreck.
