Law enforcement agencies in Georgia teamed up for a weigh station crackdown this week.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, a “safety check” took place on Thursday evening at the north and southbound weigh stations on I-75 in Monroe County.

“This check resulted in two drug related DUI’s, one alcohol DUI, one obstructing arrest, 11 drivers placed out of service, and five CMV’s placed out of service,” the agency said.

Several agencies, including the Georgia Department of Public Safety MCCD Officers, Georgia State Troopers, the Johns Creek Police Department, and the Newton County, GA Sheriff’s Office, took part in the enforcement effort.
