No one was seriously hurt after a dump truck lost control during a wreck and plowed through a house in South Jersey on Monday morning.
The incident happened on November 22nd in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey at around 7:30 a.m.
According to NBC New York, a dump truck was traveling along US Route 30, or the White Horse Pike, when it crashed with a car, skidded through oncoming traffic, tore through some fields and woods, and eventually smashed through the side of a house.
The force of the impact completely toppled the side of the house and tore the floor out from under the 80-year-old resident, sending him crashing into the basement.
Thankfully, the 80-year-old man and the unnamed dump truck driver were not seriously hurt in the incident, but both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The reason for the initial crash between the dump truck and a car is not clear, but that motorist was not hurt and was even able to drive their car and make it to work.
