Portions of Interstate 84 were closed throughout the weekend after snowy conditions sparked a number of crashes in Oregon.
The crash-induced closures happened over the weekend, beginning on Saturday night, December 11th, but were completely reopened just before 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 12th.
According to The Olympian, the westbound lanes of I-84 were shut down late Saturday night in La Grande due to crashes, but the closure was later moved to Baker City and then to Ontario due to lack of safe truck parking in La Grande and Baker City.
The Oregon Department of Transportation warns that more snow is expected later this week.
