One person is dead after pulling out in front of a semi truck that was just trying to avoid him.

The accident happened on Thursday, September 30th in Wells, Maine.

According to SeaCoastOnline, 24-year-old trucker Sahib Singh was traveling in the right lane of northbound Interstate 95 when he noticed a BMW pulled over into the breakdown lane. In response, Singh moved over into the middle lane to give the disabled vehicle some room.

As Singh moved over, the BMW suddenly pulled out in front of the oncoming rig, causing a serious collision that sent both vehicles crashing into the guardrail.

Officials say that the motorist, 52-year-old Brian Anger, was attempting to use the crossover, but it is not clear why.

Auger was pronounced dead on scene, and Singh was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
