The Massachusetts State Police are asking drivers to seek other routes for the rest of the evening after a bridge strike occurred in Medford.

The bridge strike was reportedly shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday on southbound I-93 at Exit 24 and Roosevelt Circle.

In images captured at the scene, you can see a truck marked as oversized load wedged under the bridge along with what appears to be damage to the structure.
