Pilot to offer free meal to active duty military and veterans

Published:

Truck stop retailer Pilot announced that all active duty and retired military members can enjoy a free meal in honor of Veterans Day.

The Pilot Company recently announced that active duty military members and veterans can enjoy a free meal at more than 750 participating U.S. travel center locations on November 11.

To qualify for the $10 meal credit, active duty military members and veterans must be authenticated with ID.me in Pilot’s myRewards Plus app.

Additionally, Pilot is  partnering with the Call of Duty Endowment on an in-store round-up campaign to help veterans transition to successful careers after the military. From October 25th – November 15th, 2021, customers can round up their purchases, and Pilot will match the donations up to $100,000 and 100% of the proceeds from the round-up will go directly to the Endowment.

“We are proud to be a veteran-founded company and we want to honor our servicemen and women whenever we have the opportunity,” said Shameek Konar, CEO of Pilot Company. “Working with the Call of Duty Endowment is an amazing way to help veterans find a great career after they’ve graciously served our country. We have many veteran team members and guests and look forward to showing them our appreciation by welcoming them to our stores for a free meal on us.”

Earlier this year, Pilot announced a 10% discount on food and beverages for veterans, active-duty and retired service members, National Guard, Reserves, spouses and their immediate family members. The discount is available for those who use Pilot’s myRewards Plus app and who verify their military service through ID.me.
