Pinned motorist sustains only minor injuries after “very tedious extraction”

A motorist sustained only minor injuries after being pinned beneath a tanker truck  in Mississippi on Tuesday. 

The accident happened along Interstate 55 in Ridgeland, Mississippi on December 28th. 

According to ABC 16, the four wheeler became pinned beneath a tanker truck on I-55 near County Line Road, seriously crushing the bright green vehicle. Miraculously, the motorist was not seriously hurt in the incident, but removing them from the mangled vehicle took crews a considerable amount of time. 

“After a very tedious extrication, the driver was removed and transported to the hospital,” said the Ridgeland Fire Department in a Facebook post. 

“Miraculously, the driver suffered only minor injuries.”

The truck driver was not hurt in the incident. The exact reason for the crash has not been released.
