A man sitting on a highway median was struck and killed by a turning semi truck in Texas late Thursday night.
The accident happened on August 12th at around 11 p.m. in Baytown, Texas.
According to News 4 San Antonio, a semi truck made a wide turn on the I-10 East feeder road near Thompson Road, causing them to drive over a grassy median. Unfortunately, a man was sitting of laying in the median at the time the turck made the turn, and was consequently run over by the big rig.
Police say that the trucker drove away from the scene, but was likely not aware that he had struck a person.
The incident is still under investigation.
