Pregnant motorist runs red light, causing fatal crash with two rigs

A pregnant woman and her unborn child are dead after the mother ran a red light in Phoenix on Wednesday. 

The accident happened on March 24th at around 2:30 p.m. in Phoenix, Arizona. 

According to AZ Family News, 26-year-old motorist, Samantha Bean-Lansman, was driving east on McDowell Road near Papago Park when she failed to stop for a red light, sending her vehicle slamming into a box truck attempting to turn left on 52nd street. A semi truck could also be seen at the scene of the wreck, though it is unclear if it was also involved in the wreck. 

Lansman and her unborn child did not survive the wreck. She was 8 months pregnant at the time. 

Neither of the truck drivers were injured in the incident.
