Severed human foot found on California highway

Published:

According to authorities, a California highway worker came across a severed human foot on the median of Highway 210 in San Bernardino.

The foot was found by a California Department of Transportation worker who was conducting routine maintenance on May 3 at 9:15 a.m. on the eastbound freeway near State Street.

Authorities searched the area for further remains, but none were found, according to California Highway Patrol.

The foot was found without a sock or shoe and may be from a woman’s body, CHP Officer Ivan Sandoval told The San Bernardino Sun. It appeared to have been out on the median for several days, reported KTLA News.

The foot was handed over to San Bernardino County coroner’s officials, who will conduct further investigation.

Investigators asked that anyone with information contact CHP Officer G. Lomenick at 909-383-4247.
