A motorist wounded by a gunshot while driving collided with a semi truck at an intersection in California on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on February 16th at around 3:10 p.m. in Santa Fe Springs, California.
According to KTLA News, the motorist was shot while traveling near the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Carmenita Road, causing them to lose control of their vehicle and collided with an oncoming semi truck.
The motorist was pronounced dead on scene but no other injuries have been reported.
After a preliminary investigation, police determined that the motorist had been shot a short distance away from the intersection but continued driving, which is what led to the collision.
The incident is still under investigation.
