Suspect fired four shots on semi truck with pistol, New Orleans police say

Published:

The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is asking for public help in locating a suspect who reportedly fired multiple rounds at a semi truck this week.

Police responded to the scene of a shooting shortly after 7 p.m. on November 9 at the intersection of Saint Claude Avenue and Port Street in New Orleans.

Officers learned that the 18 wheeler driver had just dropped off a load when two male suspects walked in front of his vehicle as he made a U-turn.

Police say that one of the males started yelling at the truck driver and produced a black semiautomatic pistol. The suspect fired four shots at the semi, striking the vehicle.

The two suspects walked away from the scene.

The truck driver wasn’t hurt.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, standing approximately 5’8” in height with a thin-to-medium build and a dark complexion.  Police say he wore a red and black hoodie with the word “Privileged” in white and red on the chest along with a black ski mask and khaki pants.
