Suspect wanted in May and July interstate shootings targeting semis, video released

Arkansas police are on the hunt for a suspect who is wanted in two interstate shootings targeting truckers.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department based in Memphis, Arkansas, announced that they are looking for suspect David Allen Jackson III, 29, on felony warrants.

Jackson is reportedly wanted in connection with two shootings. The first occurred on May 19 on I-55 in Crittenden County. Police received a report that a semi truck had been shot, with the driver having been struck multiple times. The driver said that the shooter was in a dark blue Chevrolet Malibu.

The second shooting occurred on July 2 in the same location as the first shooting. The truck driver wasn’t injured, but the vehicle was hit by multiple rounds.

Dash cam video captured the I-55 shooting.

Jackson is described as 6’0″ with a slim build. He was last seen driving a silver Dodge Journey with the Arkansas plate number 743 ZIG.
