Tennessee’s Department of Transportation plans to suspend construction on interstates and state routes to relieve holiday weekend backups, officials say.
The suspension of lane closures in construction areas will begin on Friday morning, July 2nd and end on Tuesday morning, July 6th.
According to ABC 6 News, this lane closure lift will help the 939,000 motorists expected to travel Tennessee’s roadways during the July 4th holiday weekend.
